Top 5 Skateboarding Shoes

Let’s just say I am no professional skateboarder.  I have dabbled in the sport, back when boards were wider.  I tried, 4 years ago, skateboarding again with a more modern board; quickly learning that skateboarding has gotten a whole lot more amazing. Which means I couldn’t compete. Now my only link to skateboarding is shoes and my old decks. You know my back story and how I have no expertise in skateboarding. What I really mean is that these shoes may not be the best shoes for skateboarding, just the best looking shoes that have to do with skateboarding. See the full list after the break.

#5 – Globe Bender

Globe makes some very comfortable shoes.  I hear they make great skate shoes also.  If that’s the case, I’m in.  I picked the bender because it doesn’t look like the normal bulky skate shoes.  It’s a chukka style boating shoe with a nice thick inner lining.

#4 – Supra Vaider

This isn’t your conventional skate shoe and I really don’t know if any people actually skate in these shoes.  The Supra Vaider is mid top sneaker that looks like a cross between a Dunk and Terminator. Supra is the perfect mix between fashion and function.  A lot of celebs are wearing these as causal shoes instead of the functional skate shoes.

#3 – Vans Mike Carroll x Supreme

I picked a Vans collab because everyone knows what Vans look like and these just popped up on the web.  Not to mention these shoes are great looking.  Vans has teamed up with NYC clothing company Supreme for this all new Mike Carroll pro model. The colors are what really makes this shoe amazing.

#2 – Nike SB Koston One

I remember using Eric Koston, as a playable character, in the Original Tony Hawk games.  Now he has signed to Nike SB and created the Koston One.  It’s an brand new Nike SB that is both functional and fashionable.  The Koston One Tiffany is one of the best looking skate shoes being made right now and the most sought after shoe.

#1 – adidas ADI-Ease Gonz

I know what you are thinking, a Nike shoe didn’t make the #1 spot.  Yes I really like the look of this adidas model.  This is Michael Gonzalez pro model for adidas skateboarding.  This shoe is the most regular looking skate shoe I have ever seen.  I bet that no one could ever tell the that this is a skate shoe.  I looks like a cross between the gazelle and the campus, it even shares similar colors with the campus.  I love the simplicity of this shoe.

Skateboarding shoes are either purchased by collectors or actual skateboards.  Most regular people wouldn’t usually pick these shoes, because they have an unconventional style.  That unconventional style is what makes these shoes so appealing.  The people who buy these shoes appreciate the shoes for different reasons, but those who wear them love them for the comfort and durability.  Whatever the reason, skate shoes are a great addition to any collection.
