Wednesday Rant Shape Up Shoes

America you’re getting fatter and instead of working out and eating right, we rely on a shoe to help us get trim. I understand that the shoe mimics balance ball technology, but why not just use a balance ball.  Also, why in the world is Joe Montana endorsing these shoes?  Does he really need the money that bad, because who would want to hock such any ugly shoe?  More after the break.

Skechers is not known for their quality footwear, believe I have owned a few pairs. As soon as they dropped the shape ups everyone forgot that fact and immediately opened their wallets to buy the latest workout gimmick.  Instead of shoe stores these should be sold with the ab machines that claim to give you a six pack by rocking in a chair.  I have seen these shoes before, but before they claimed to increase your vertical.  Why people fall for these tricks is beyond me, but that’s the power of persuasion. It’s like those energy bracelets that everybody assures me that they can feel vibrations and they have no more health problems.  Sticking something on your wrist is not going to cure all your health problems and sticking a shoe on your foot is not going to give you an amazing ass.

If you want killer results in the gym, you have to live and breath the gym.  You have to eat healthy everyday, not walk around in these shoes while you pound doughnuts. I also wouldn’t care if these shoes worked and would give me a rock hard body; they are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. What started as one pair has now turned into hundreds.  They now have a shape up shoe for every occasion; work boots, rain boots and running shoes. People we need to shop buying this crap and spend our money on running shoes or trainer shoes that will actually help get you the body you want.  It’s time we say no to the gimmicks and demand a better shoe.
