Reebok Pump Omni Lite - Dee Brown
My Favorite Reebok shoe of all time has to the Reebok Pump. The pump was first introduced to the world by Dee Brown, formerly of the Boston Celtics, in the 1991 All Star Dunk Contest. You can find the video on Youtube and I suggest you do check it out. The original pump was a high top and looks some what similar to the Omni Lite Dee Brown. After the dunk contest the pump became Reebok's most popular in the 90's and if you had them you were the man. The omni lite is the mid to hi top version and comes in to colorways; white and black with orange accents. Each pump shoe comes with the standard pump on the tongue; the basketball shoe pump is shaped and colored like a basketball. The pump forces air into the sides of the shoes to give a better fit on you foot. Most people thought the pump would help increase your vertical, but the pump is only designed to make the shoe fit better which does increase mobility and helps with movement. The pump is also an extremely comfortable and even if you buy them one size to large, you can pump them up to fit. One thing I will tell you is I wear a size 11 or larger in Nike and I ended up wearing a 10.5, which fits great. Wear a part of history everyday and get pumped up!!
