Remember these beauties? The adidas Originals Questar just popped up on the Originals website for sale. The shoe retails for $125 which is reasonable for most retro shoes. This is a must have for any sneakerheads shoe collection, even the biggest fan of Nike Shoes.

Why are all the good vintage shoes only available overseas? That includes the Nike Air Pegasus 83. A great vintage running shoe from the early 80’s; made with a mixture of nylon and suede. The current colorway, magenta/grey is so far my favorite version of the shoe. These aren’t available yet but I’ll keep you posted. What do you think of the Air Pegasus 83? The adidas Originals started as a way for younger people to experience the popular shoes of the 70’s and 80’s. It’s also a way to display their history in actual form and not just pictures. People, like myself, crave what we once had and love to cherish past innovations. It’s no surprise that I love vintage shoes but, I really have a thing for vintage running shoes. I think one of the big reasons I have a thing for vintage shoes, is that when these shoes came out I didn’t have the money to buy the shoes. So now I am making up for lost time and I can afford to purchase most of these lost souls. Check out the rest of the story after the break.
If any more retro shoes are released my head will probably explode. Not likely, but I am super excited that Nike is dipping back into the 70’s running shoe catalog. The Challenger is an updated version of the 60’s waffle running shoe and it comes in a grey/blue colorway. Hopefully there are more of these shoes on the retro horizon. Get ready for the Fall and more retro running shoes. New Balance has just released a preview for the 998, which is being released in Fall 2011. New Balance has been a part of my life since my childhood. They were my first pair of running shoes and my dad made me wear them, even though I wanted Nike. I later on began to grow and appreciate what New Balance had to offer. They offer quality, durability and comfort; everything you want in a great running shoe. I’m glad to the Orlando Magic getting the respect they deserve. I have been a Magic fan since the team began. The best days, until now, were with Shaq and Penny. Penny was one of my favorite players and the guy captured a nation. Those days are over but, his shoes are still a part of sneaker culture. The 1/2 cent is a much loved shoe with sneakerheads; first the eggplant and then the cranberry. Now the Orlando Magic colorway is getting the retro treatment and I am excited. J. Crew is known for collaborating with a plethora of brands. I have experienced their collaboration with Levi’s and it was a smash hit. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about New Balance’s collab, because sometimes shoe collabs can go wrong. Not in this case. The newest crop of New Balance 1400’s have hit J. Crew and they are perfect for that store. The 1400 is a straight forward, no frills retro shoe; which goes great with Americana style. It’s not as bulky as the 574, but maintains that retro feel. They come in 5 colors; raw steel, pine green, navy, black and rustic orange. So far my favorite is the raw steel and black. What do you think of the J. Crew x New Balance collaboration? I should have posted this weeks ago, as soon as these popped up on Nike.com. I was trying to figure out the next shoe to add to my arsenal. Let’s welcome the Nike Air Vengeance in Dark Grey/Varsity Purple-Black-Wolf Grey colorway. I know this shoe just arrived at 21 Mercer, but it has been at the Nike Store since the beginning of January. I having been eyeing this one for a while and now it’s time to pull the trigger. Bodega has added a smorgasbord of new Saucony Elite’s to their store and webstore. The Saucony Elite was designed for small Japanese retailers made of the finest leather, suede and nylon. There are four new colorways of the Shadow 6000 and one the Jazz ‘91. These shoes look amazing. They simple colorways, but they look incredibly high class. The G-Shock was the watch to have in the 90’s. You weren’t cool unless you had a G-Shock watch. Almost two decades later, nothing seems to have changed. Everyone is rocking G-Shocks these day: rappers, athletes, celebs and everyone else. I found three amazing watches among the cavalcade of watches G-Shock has in its stable. The 80’s running shoe is coming back in a big way. With Nike releasing their all there new vintage running shoes and New Balance releasing all their retro running shoes; I don’t blame adidas for throwing their hat in the ring. The Questar is a great hat to be throwing into the ring. Most people would run when the hear the colors are red,yellow and blue, but they really work well with this shoe. Hey University of Michigan fans! Are you looking for a shoe to support your team? Well look no further Wolverine fans. The new Nike SB Blazer low now comes in Navy and Maize, just like your team colors. Just like my Air Max1 Skull Pack, which comes in Gator colors, are my go to shoe to wear on game day. I love the 574! I think it’s the best of the retro styled New Balance shoes. NB has just released a brand new colorway and it’s awesome. Who would have thought that Navy, Grey and White could look so good together? What do you all think of the new colorway? More pics after the break.
